Sikorsky UH-60 Main rotor blade BIM test and fill unit
Designed specifically for field maintenance operations and Phase Maintenance Inspections (PMI), this unit provides a compact, lightweight, and cost-effective alternative to existing blade inspection equipment while maintaining the reliability and accuracy required for critical rotor blade maintenance.
The Crest Aerospace BIM Tester has been engineered as a direct replacement for the Habco SK1010 Blade Check and Fill Test Instrument, offering equivalent functionality without compromising performance, accuracy, or long-term parts availability. By utilizing commercially available components, we are able to significantly reduce lead times, with new units typically available within 4–6 weeks when not in stock.
The instrument is used to verify the integrity of UH-60 rotor blade spars by applying pressurized nitrogen to detect potential leaks or structural deficiencies, helping ensure continued airworthiness and operational safety.
Final validation testing is currently underway, and our goal is to have a rental unit available by mid-July 2026. Customers interested in reserving the unit or obtaining additional information are encouraged to contact us at mtroyer@crestaerospace.ca.
